a book review: unto the hills - a daily devotional by billy graham

I review for BookSneeze®
look what i got in the mail recently courtesy of booksneeze, my advanced copy of unto the hills – a daily devotional penned by rev. billy graham. this actually a reprint of  the 1996 hardbound classic.

from the publisher:

“The classic 365-day devotional from Billy Graham, now back in print.
Simple, direct, encouraging yet challenging, this book offers itself as a heartening companion for your daily walk in the valley. This collection is a gentle but constant reminder that we can find help for all our needs as long as we remember to look up . . . unto the hills but especially unto the Lord.

my two-cent’s worth:

i was never really the praying kind, or i must say a regular-praying kind, but this book  is one sure way to jumpstart the habit again. something i can look forward to, as part of my daily morning routine.
made to be read one entry per day (or maybe you can read an entire month in one sitting if you’re up to it), unto the hills is made up of 365 daily reading, each comprised of a carefully chosen passage from the bible, an inspiring message, story or anecdote from dr. graham and ends with a prayer made especially for the book.

an inspirational read and an ideal gift to just about anyone you know. i give it a cozy spot in this corner’s readers lounge which is my equivalent to a four star rating.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the publisher through the BookSneeze®.com  book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”
