music monday: kody by matchbox twenty
matchbox twenty, or originally matchbox 20 aka mb20 to signify their ages back then, an American rock band from orlando, florida is compriesed of rob thomas (vocals, piano), briay yale (base), kyle cook (lead guitars) and paul doucette (drums and rhythm guitars). they sky-rocketed to fame in 1996 via their very first album, yourself or someone like you, which spawned the hits long day, 3am, real world + their trademark hit, push. this video, kody, also belongs to that certified diamond album, see lyrics here.
they've also released mad season in 2000 and more than you think you are in 2002 + what inspired this post is i recently learned that they will be releasing a new album this year, after rob went solo + released several albums on his own. will be looking forward to that one + crossing my fingers that they visit manila for a concert.
